College of St. Joseph's men's basketball team heads to Delhi, N.Y. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 to face the Broncos in a 7 p.m. contest.
The Saints are coming off a last-minute defeat at UMaine-Machias, falling 77-74 after leading by up to six points in the fourth quarter. Charles Isaac led CSJ with 20 points.
The Broncos will be playing their second game in two days, as they earned a win against Cazenovia 57-53 on Monday, Dec. 4. Jordan Fragale and Payton Dean scored 11 points in last night's contest. Jake Slobe scored 10 off the bench for Delhi.
On Nov. 12, the Broncos fell in a 81-75, overtime decision versus Fisher College. Slobe racked up 21 points and 6 rebounds, and William Knight scored 18 points. Fragale recorded a double-double: 13 points and 10 rebounds.
CSJ encountered Fisher on Nov. 29. The Fighting Saints' took a 100-88 loss. Isaac recorded a double-double by way of 26 points and 10 rebounds and Mickalous Snowden scored 17 points.
The Broncos are averaging 72.5 points per game as a team, while the Saints are average 75. CSJ also has an edge in rebounds per game, averaging 45.6 to Delhi's 42.
For the Broncos, Slobe leads the way in PPG (15.1). Dean is second in scoring (10.4) and leads the team in rebounds per game (7.9).
Delhi is 4-7 on the season. CSJ is still looking to pick up their first win of the season, currently standing at 0-5.
