Men's Soccer earned their first win of the season over the weekend against Paul Smith's College on Saturday, Sept. 10, with a final score of 3-0. The Saints are now 1-4 overall.
The Fighting Saints looked ready to play from the moment the clock started ticking on Saturday. They were communicating and dominating the ball with precision that has yet to be seen this year. The team was on the same page and they showed just how good they can be when they play together.
CSJ controlled the game throughout, keeping the ball on their offensive end for a large majority of the contest. The Saints put up 23 shots to Paul Smith's eight. They also attempted nine total corner kicks, one of which lead directly to a goal, while Paul Smith's only had two corners on the day.
Kyle Milligan also brought his A-game at the goalkeeper position. He had a perfect match, saving all six shots that came his way. He played aggressively, charging Paul Smith's attackers when they got inside the box.
The Saints travel to Hampshire College to play their next game on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 4:30 p.m.
