The College of St. Joseph Softball team plays Central Maine CC in a doubleheader this Sunday, Sept. 27. The Lady Saints will be entering the weekend with a 5-1 overall record, while the Mustangs have yet to earn a victory this season at 0-4.
Pitching has been the consistent strength for the Lady Saints this season. Maggie Miller and Jenna Crowley have led the way, striking out batters and throwing shutouts on a regular basis. CSJ has held their opponents to no runs in four out of the six games they have played this season.
Hitting has also been solid for the Lady Saints. They have had great production from players up and down the lineup. They were even able to tally off an impressive 22 runs against UNH. If the bats can continue to produce and dominance on the mound stays consistent, CSJ could be the team to beat in the YSCC.
The Lady Saints play their next game at NHTI as part of the Fall Conference Championships on Oct. 3.
