The College of St. Joseph Women's Basketball team hosts Fisher College on Feb. 11. The Lady Saints have an overall record of 11-10 and a Yankee Small College Conference record of 9-5. They have lost their last two games and will be looking to get back to their winning ways with only two games left in the regular season. They had won four straight games before losing their last two. As of today, the Lady Saints rank No. 12 in the USCAA Power Rankings and fourteenth in the Week Eight Coaches Poll.
The Fisher Falcons go into Saturday's match-up with a current record of 11-13. They are an independent institution, and therefore have no conference record. They have won their previous two games against Vermont Tech and University of Maine at Presque Isle. The Falcons have played a challenging schedule up to this point and have done quite well considering the tough competition they have faced.
The Lady Saints and the Falcons met back on Jan. 19 when CSJ was defeated by a final score of 94-69. They went down by 11 points after the first quarter and were unable to narrow the gap moving forward. The biggest bright spot for the Saints was the stellar play of freshman guard Alayna Landolfo. She scored a team-high 25 points in 30 minutes of play coming off the bench. CSJ will need solid performances from a number of players if they wish to earn a victory against the Fisher Falcons on Saturday at 1 p.m.
