The Fighting Saints dropped a competitive contest, 75-63, at Vaughn College on Sunday, Dec. 10. The matchup marked CSJ's third game in three days.
Tyreke Woodard tallied a season-high 26 points in the loss. He also recorded six rebounds and three steals. Chris Conway contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with a team-leading six assists off the bench for the Saints. Charles Isaac contributed 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
The Fighting Saints outpaced Vaughn in total assists, notching 20 to the Warriors' 13. They also had an edge in free throw percentage, going 14-for-20 at the line (shooting 70 percent) compared to Vaughn's 9-for-19 (47.4%).
Vaughn pulled down 53 rebounds as a team, with Bryan Green accounting for 24 on his own. CSJ tallied 46 total rebounds.
CSJ faced just a six-point deficit at halftime, with the score being 40-34, but the Warriors' 47 percent shooting from the field carried them to the 12 point victory.
